Is QHHT® Right for You? A Practitioner's Honest Guide
QHHT® (Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique, by Dolores Cannon) asks something real of you: a full day, in person, and a willingness to look within. It is a meaningful experience for many people. It is not the right choice for everyone, and I would rather you know that before you book.
This is how I think about who QHHT® suits, and who it may not.
Who tends to benefit from QHHT®?
In my experience, QHHT® tends to suit people who are curious, self-aware, and ready to take ownership of their lives.
Many of my clients are high achievers at a turning point: a career crossroads, a relationship pattern that keeps repeating, grief that has not resolved, or a persistent sense of being stuck. Others have no particular crisis at all. They know of Dolores Cannon's work and simply feel drawn to experience QHHT® for themselves.
You don't need a crisis to begin, and you don't need to have everything figured out. What matters is a willingness to listen to what is already within you.
What does QHHT® ask of you?
A full day. A session runs 7 hours or more in one sitting, in person. It cannot be shortened, and it cannot be done online.
Honesty with yourself. The session begins with a long conversation about your life and your questions. The more open you are, the deeper the session can go.
Trust in your own capacity. Every insight comes from you, not from the practitioner. QHHT® does not implant suggestions or tell you what to think.
Ownership afterwards. A session offers clarity. What you do with it is yours to decide.
When might QHHT® not be the right choice?
If you are looking for a quick fix. Many people do experience real change through QHHT®, but rarely in the way they imagined beforehand. It works by changing how you see, and the outer changes follow in their own time. If you need a specific outside situation resolved by a certain date, QHHT® is unlikely to meet that expectation.
If you need medical or psychological care. QHHT® is not a substitute for medical or psychological treatment. If you are currently receiving care, please continue it, and mention it when you book.
If you would like someone else to lead the way. Some people hope a session will tell them exactly what to do, or that the practitioner will take responsibility for the outcome. QHHT® works the other way around. It helps you hear your own answers.
If you are looking for an ongoing programme. QHHT® is not designed as a series. In keeping with Dolores Cannon's teaching, each session is approached as both the first and the last. I explain why in Why One QHHT® Session Is Usually Enough.
Are there people QHHT® is not offered to?
Yes. Following Dolores Cannon's guidelines, and with your wellbeing first, QHHT® is generally not offered to:
people with severe mental health conditions, such as schizophrenia or personality disorders;
people with hearing impairments, as the process relies on following spoken guidance;
anyone under 16.
If any of these apply to you, please mention it when you book, so we can talk about it honestly.
Do I need to believe in past lives?
No. QHHT® does not ask you to adopt any belief, doctrine or worldview. Past life narratives may surface, and many people find them meaningful, but they are not the point of a session. You are free to understand whatever emerges in the framework that makes sense to you. I explore this further in Is QHHT® About Past Lives?
What if I'm still not sure?
That is completely natural. A few questions you might ask yourself:
Am I curious about what I might discover, rather than attached to a particular answer?
Am I ready to take the steps forward myself, whatever they turn out to be?
Can I give myself a full, unhurried day for this?
If the answer to these feels like a quiet yes, QHHT® may be right for you. Every session begins with a short preparation call, where we confirm your date and help you approach the day in a way that allows you to receive its highest good.
