Why One QHHT® Session Is Usually Enough
People are often surprised when I tell them that most of my clients work with me only once for QHHT® (Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique, by Dolores Cannon). In a world of courses, programmes and subscriptions, a single session can seem too little.
It isn't. Here is why.
Why doesn't QHHT® come as a series of sessions?
Because it was never designed that way. Dolores Cannon did not encourage people to return for session after session. She encouraged them to take the wisdom from their session and live it.
The structure of the day reflects this. A QHHT® session is one sitting of 7 hours or more: a deep conversation of at least 3 hours, followed by the hypnosis itself. Nothing is rushed, and nothing is left for "next time". The whole day is built to be complete in itself.
Where does the change actually happen?
Not in the session room. It happens in your life, afterwards.
A QHHT® session does not work on your outer circumstances directly. It turns your attention inward, so that you see yourself and your situation with new clarity. That shift happens on the inside first. Because the way you see has changed, what follows in your outer life, the relationship, the career decision, the situation you came in worried about, often changes with it.
This is also why the meaning of a session keeps unfolding. Many of my clients tell me it was one year, two years, or even longer before they fully understood an insight they received. It becomes clear in ordinary moments, when life gives them the context to recognise it.
A second session would not speed this up. The insight is already there; it simply needs to be lived.
Why can't someone else walk the path for you?
I often describe QHHT® as a handrail. It offers something steady to hold at a particular stage of your journey, a way to regain clarity. But a handrail does not walk the stairs for you. The steps forward are yours to take.
This is not a limitation of QHHT®. It is a recognition of something true about life: it cannot be outsourced. Every insight in a QHHT® session comes from you, not from me. My role is to hold the space and facilitate the process. The power to act on what you discover was always yours.
For me, this is the heart of QHHT®: helping you remember where your power has always been.
Does that mean QHHT® can only be done once?
No. It means each session is approached as if it were the only one.
QHHT® is a professional service. No one can count on the same professional being there for every chapter of their life. Some people do return to QHHT® years later, when they feel it is truly needed. By then, they are no longer the person they were at their first session. They may choose the same practitioner, or someone else, and either choice is right if it is theirs.
As a responsible practitioner, I follow Dolores Cannon's teaching: every session I facilitate is approached as both the first and the last. That intention is what gives a single day its depth.
How do you make the most of one session?
A few things make a real difference:
Arrive prepared. Write down your questions, around 5 is ideal, and bring a written copy. We refine them together before the hypnosis.
Keep the whole day free, including the evening, so you can stay with the experience.
Listen to your recording. I recommend 10 to 30 minutes a day during the first 21 days. Regular listening helps the insights settle into daily life.
Stay aware afterwards. Notice synchronicities, changes in your dreams, and small intuitive nudges in the weeks that follow.

In short
One QHHT® session is usually enough, not because less is offered, but because everything that matters is already within you. The session helps you hear it. Living it is the part that belongs to you.
